Hi How can I do in 3dsmax to expand the Shell I did for the body where I applied the alpha black tattoo here ... in order to be more distant along the normals of the polygons? if I usually expand it gets intruding and clipping ...
Thanks that worked fine ... and just to not open another thread , can I copy the skin made on a model and paste over another model that its very similar but not identical using the same bones?
Yep, through the Skin Wrap modifier.
AFAIK directly copy/pasting a skin on another mesh will work only if you just used the enveloppes to set the skin.
you can also use the skin utilities - it allows you to export a mesh that contains skin weights which you can transfer to another mesh. you can edit the skin weight mesh if you need to detach bits or fit it to a different shaped target as well.
try skin wrap first - if that doesn't work look at skin utilities.
