Sketchbook: Kya Hill

Hi! I'm a recent grad of the Art Institute of Washington. I majored in Game Art Design and focused on organic character modeling, mainly fantasy characters. I draw my own concept and just go at it in 3d. I also have a sketchbook at conceptart.org.

I came here to get more feedback on my 3d projects and step my game up in learning new techniques/tips and to get a job in the industry eventually.

Most recent project is a hybrid creature. Its a male torso on a peacock body. I'm still stuck on the facial features(whether to have a fully human face or give him a beak where the nose and mouth are, OR a bit of both with the beak over the nose and mouth.), and if the wings should attach to the human arms or attach at the connection to the peacock body.

It's my first char model in Maya.
