How do we not have one of these yet? I always find sharing and talking about ideas can be just as inspiration as pretty pictures, so please do both.

Feel free to include anything from stories and books to model toys to wikipedia articles or traditional art and real photos. Anything that inspires you as an artist is fair game.

If you include any game art please don't post recent work from polycount, or just post a link to the thread, no self pimping.

Please post .zip's of folders if you want to share a collection.

and I always like reading about conspiracy theories, I don't believe in the sensationalism, but they always make for a cool story behind a project. For example "China’s Great Pyramids Controversy"

I spend a lot (a LOT... prolly too much) time blog-surfing, and over the past couple of years i've run into some really amazing stuff. This bundle is in no way "complete" or anything, but this is just the best inspirational art sites that I've found. If you have any spare time, this will seriously take all of it (and more). Also, I tried doing the same thing with animated/internet videos... but kinda ran out of steam... but check out this blog post I made about "Internet Videos Worth Watching".

Great thread ZacD!

I started surfing in the gallery of this site http://www.coolminiornot.com/ It's all about panoramas. Great level of detail and often allot of angels of stuff. I'm still not sure how i feel about using these as concept though. It's still made by an artist, almost like a 3D artist but in real materials.

It's still a great place to get inspired on!
