Is possible from a polygon that was made of quads after been exported as a mesh and reimported become all triangules , to retrieve the original topology?
as far as i know. no. you would have to manualy remove the edges, or use an auto quad script, but those just do their best guess. its never goina be what you originaly modeled
Anyway I did find quite usefull the new graphite tools I must admit I didn't use much but now they are just AWESOME ... I can remove unwanted edges easy and not ruin the uvmapping ^^ ...

Sometimes it helps to manually delete a few triangle edges here and there, and clear up 'problem' areas first.
