This was a scene I did that was inspired by the Fable video game franchise. All textures are hand painted by myself which was the biggest challenge for me for this project. Any way comments and critiques are always welcome. Anything that will help improve this scene.
great work! I love the un-straightness of the whole enviroment.
Only thing I see is that the stairs seem a bit wierd, not sure if it is the perspective or texture or whatever but it looks kinda awkward to me
I love it so far. The houses looks abit clean though, maybe paint some dirt in the cavities?
I would also suggest to put a few more lightsources on the streets because like this alot of information is overlooked, sadly. What did you use to render?
@Akamo: I used UDK to render the scene. And yes I agree there needs to be more light sources and I will also agree that the houses are a little clean. I will eventually come back to this scene, but right now I'm moving on to other projects. However thank you for feedback.
@Hexidine: Yes now that you mention it they do look a bit awkward. When I go back to this scene I will surely take another look at it and fix it up. Thank you for the critique.
There is one thing that bugs me, the roof tiles don't sag with the rest of the roof, that should be a simple UV tweak, you might need to cut in a few edges so it can sag appropriately but it shouldn't fubar anything. Other than that, that scene is awesome looking!
EDIT:
It would be great to see some more break down shots, texture flats ect...
Also concerning the roof: using 2 straight logs instead of curving them a bit more makes the whole thing appear much more lowpoly than it is. Add a couple of loops there?
