error parsing xaml file

Hi I got this error yesterday that makes me not load the graphite tools in 3dsmax , does anyone know hot to fix it? I have looked around the web and the solutions I found didn't help ...
XAML Parse error saying "error parsing xaml file: root element missing". I clicked ok, and it said that "The main Ribbon configuration file is possibly corrupt. Reset to factory defaults?".
Answering either yes or no is the same thing, max starts with no ribbon (i.e. no object paint etc). Eversince, each time I load max I get the same error messages.

You need to delete the file that's corrupted and when you start Max again, it'll create a new one.

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2011 - 64bit\enu\UI\MaxManaged.xaml

(Or there may be a MaxManaged.xaml.backup file there that you can rename.)

I think this is fixed in SP1 or SP2, by the way.
