WHYWO awards?

What I really like to do every New Year is to browse over the WAYWO thread and look back at all the awesome stuff people have come up with during the past year.So this idea came to me what about having an annual WHYWO(What Have You Worked On) awards?No prizes no, no specific ruleset to be followed.Just the feeling of having accomplished something for the year and fellow Polycounters appreciating it.Maybe the admins can choose nominess for each category(enviro,character etc.) before the year ends then have a poll or something for everyone to vote.
Maybe the prize could be a place among the Polycount showcase row.
Just and idea,What do you guys think?:)

Bit redundant, no? Time better spent producing future challenges? A thread where people post some of their favourites could work though.

we have the recaps, i think those are enough...
they just need to be more consistent

Guess consistency is the word.I was thinking more of a year end recap.The best of the best of the year that was .

I'm not sure if this is a very good idea. I mean people just post their stuff to show what they're working on. Some of the work is closer to finish than others, some are speed paints and what not so it's pretty hard to be fair when giving awards. Also, we already have challenges, why would we make that into a one as well? Next thing we know there's a contest for best thread in general discussion...

Well since it would be a year end thing.Maybe a couple of faves from the weekly recap can be picked monthly and those picks get to be automatically nominated.Or something like that haha.Guess this idea is brought about by me taking a couple of hours before New year looking at the WAYWO thread so yeah.pardon me

Wonder if theres some program or tool that can just show every image in a thread in a slideshow, you could sit back and enjoy instead of straining that middle mouse finger

Well, they do weekly recaps, right? We could just continue those, and then recap the recaps =P. That way you would only have to look at about 200 posts (there's 3-5 items per recap for 51 weeks), or the equivalent of 8 WAYWO pages.

The recaps are enough. Besides, everyone would stop posting WIPs and just post finished projects which defeats the point.
