hey their folks, my name's aaron im 16 and currently studying 3d animation at college. Ive always been lurking around these forurms and thought id post somthing.
Our brief given at college is charecter modelling. and within the brief you had to create a organic charecter, then rig it and then create a 20 second animation.
I decided to create a cartoon like, almost pixar inspired charecter, i also got influence from the stylized charecter tutorial on gnomon workshop. My charecter, named Pete is having a mid-time crisis who decided to take up boxing.
First made with z sphere's as a base mesh in zbrush. then imported into max for retopo work then modelled additional pieces - shorts, boots and boxing gloves.
still working on how im going to tackle the boxing boots ,
Cheers, would love some crit

People can tell if they like something or not, but to just say "I don't like it" without anything to back that up, or giving ways you could improve isn't particularly helpful. TO be honest, I like some things, and it could be good, but something about this piece just isn't doing it for me right now.
Definitely re-evaluate your forms, especially on the head and face.
And like was said above, he's a little doughy and undefined, so it's hard to find something that could be wrong when it's somewhat abstracted.
cheers .
I like his skinny legs but I feel his forearms are a little too skinny near the wrists. Thickening them up a little should be good
