build your square/cube whatever. Turn on Autogrid. Create a circle on your model where you want to extrude your cylinder. Turn its iterations down to whatever matches best with your topology.. at least keep 8 sides though as it smooths nicely.
Turn on snap to points. Use the cut tool on your model, snapping to the points of the circle.
Clean up the geometry as needed. Extrude new circle shape.
I'll post images once this install I'm doing finishes.

cool man Ive never heard of that procces. Ill tryit just to learn how to do it though, as it could have other applications, apreciate!:)
its quicker to start as above but connect the centre vert to the other outer verts (making another X at 45 degrees to the existing one) and then chamfer the centre vert - you don't have to worry about adding up or anything that way
