Invulse Games, the game developers behind Deadlock: Online an iOS multiplayer shooter, published by Crescent Moon Games, is looking to recruit team members to help create an innovative new social game using the Unity 3D engine.

The Project:

We are currently in the planning phase, and soon to be moving into the prototyping phase of an innovated social building game. We will be taking some of the best aspects of extremely successful games like Farmville, Dragonvale, Smurfs Village and other social games, and incorporating fun gameplay elements missing from those titles. We believe that freemium games with a fun, vibrant, cartoon like atmosphere and addicting gameplay are the types of games we should be making. Games which can appeal to everyone in the family but can still provide a deep rewarding gameplay experience for the more serious gamer.



Who We Need:


3D Modeler / Animator:
  • Must be able to create low-poly, efficient models and rigs targeted at mobile platforms such as iOS.
  • Must be able to take cartoon character sketches and create fun, vibrant models from them.
  • Must be able to model architectural game pieces with precision.
  • Must be able to rig and animate models created.
  • Must be able to correctly UV unwrap all models created.


Texture Artist
  • Must be able to create vibrant cartoon like textures, to help create fun looking environments.
  • Must be able to use as few textures as possible, and atlas textures where necessary.
  • GUI experience is preferred.
  • Cartoon Illustration is preferred.


What You Will Be Doing


Once we finalize the planning of this game, we will need to create a fast prototype of the gameplay. Although we cannot provide compensation for the prototype, if successful we will move into full scale development of the game shortly after. We would like team members who can help us create this initial prototype in a timely fashion. We want creative people who can give valuable input, and new ideas that will help the game succeed.

Compensation

We believe this will be a very large scale project, with a timeline of 8 months to a year of part time work from all team members. We are willing to offer a large stake in the games profits, actual compensation upfront (this amount depends on your experience and skill), or a combination of the two. This will be negotiated depending on your experience, but we want team members who have a large investment on the success and quality of the game. Our previous (Deadlock: Online) game was built with a very limited budget and has grossed about $100,000 so far! We want to take this success to the next level, and we believe that this game will exceed our previous games success!


Who We Dont Want
  • Anyone under 18!
  • If you are looking for a short term project.
  • Anyone who is not willing to take some direction (although you will certainly have a lot of artistic freedom, but you must be willing to take direction on the art).
  • Anyone not willing to take this project very seriously. (If the project makes it past the early prototyping phase, we will complete the project, with or without you, so we want very serious team members).
  • People who cannot create assets made for mobile.
  • People with no or very limited portfolio. (Once again this is a serious project and requires someone with real world experience)
