Hello, I soon will be launching my iphone game for the company I'm working for, we were discussing the marketing stuff, any good article on how to market games? I want to give extra suggestions for my boss.
From what I can tell, if iPhone is your base target platform, getting a 'hit' is akin to winning the lottery. Chance, circumstance, and timing. And that's only if it's a very highly polished game to begin with.
I guess one way would be to send a free demo of the game to all the major game sites/magazine publications. But you'd better hope it reviews really well if you want it to gain any traction through that route.

Make sure it has something that is actually quite something else and not just like everything else, you can't just make a game, you have to make THE game.
So show us, what's the game you're going to sell, if we could see it we could potentially know how and where you should market it.
