Working on a 3D face of my self.
image of me below.
Process:
creating a lowpoly in max
subdividing it up in zbrush and re working it
zapplink to texture
re-toplogised in max
Unwrapped the low tri
finally transferred texture to the 4.5k model
You should check some anatomical references and get shots from around your head to work on the profile view. Working the base structure of your head at a lower detail setting would also be invaluable.
AH I posted the images in the wrong order the zbrush work was the base and I used max to then lowpoly it. I also took full 360 pictures of my head but didn't want to spam post them all. I have also tried to do a normal map but i have had the problem of a seam apearing down the middle of my model and causeing a weird shadow effect to happen i not sure how to fix this if any one has any ideas.
normal map baked out through max
The only thing I can think of is that its because I used symmetry when creating the face but am not sure.
