I'm rendering stuff out for a 2d isometric game called "Yoshimi Vs. Face Punching Robots" that I'm pretty excited about. It's cel-shaded. Here's one of the robots;
He's salvage-tech and the monitor strapped to the top of his hood will eventually be animated w/ a face. Once defeated, Yoshimi is able to use him as a mount.
Promotional materials and cut-scenes will feature live-action, so the mech needs some photo-realistic textures too. Tho that's not rly my thing (little help?!)...
Here's more about the game itself->

In game it will be cel-shaded just like this, but for some of the promotional materials and cut-scenes we wanted to do live action, so essentially it needs 2 sets of textures.
Running into some animation problems;
I didn't like his feet and rly want to drive home the fact that he is scavenger-tech. I've begun to build him new feet that are basically re-purposed backhoe parts (can't believe it didn't occur to me earlier).
All is well and good, but when I link the upper IK solved bone to the thigh, it all goes horribly wrong. Jump to the 20 sec mark or so.

Was hoping someone had a solution.
