Hello,
Port Galaxy is currently a browser-based social game based in a virtual galaxy where players can chat, build rooms, collect furniture and clothes, customize their characters, and much more. It is privately owned and independently developed. We released the Flash version of the game some time ago, but due to some stability issues and lack of programmers we have been unable to do much with the Flash version. The game still looks great, and has some great features and content.
However, I am now considering making a Unity3D version of Port Galaxy. I have found that there would be MANY benefits to using Unity and developing within a 3D world rather than trying to build an isometric flash MMO. We have had quite a hassle dealing with image layering, sprite sheets, and other tedious work that goes with this style of game. I believe that Unity would work much better.
At the moment we are seeing if this is possible, and looking for anyone who would like to help or be a part of the project in general. Unity programmers, graphics designers, anyone who has experience with Unity and social games like Port Galaxy. If you are interested in offering some of your services or making other arrangements with us then please do not hesitate to ask. If we get enough support it would certainly be possible to make a unity version of our game. We have already started the process of looking for paid freelance workers to also give us price estimates and whatnot, so we can see if it is still feasible. I recommend you check out our website and read about how Port Galaxy works and what we have planned. If you like what you see and want to help in any way then let us know. We will keep you in mind for when we do create the unity version. If you are interested in a paid position and have experience with this you may also contact us.
We are looking for 3D modellers, animators, for creating Characters, Character assets (clothes, hair), Environments (rooms, or bigger open spaces), props (furniture). Since we are independently funding the game we are looking for someone to offer us fairly cheap rates or collaborate in another way.
If you are interested and think you can help us please send us some examples of your work, and what you might charge.
Some images of our current rooms/environments rendered as isometric static images.
