SSoooo im starting a new anatomy study. when im done ill add a couple of props just to make it less boring.
that props will be some lingerie, man shirt a bit like in this pictur http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photography-young-sexy-beauty-woman-in-a-man-s-shirt-image6268472 leg gun strap , pistol, and a badge.
so heres the blockout/proportions that i have so far. any crits would be very appreciated.
Proportions seem relatively reasonable, but the torso does seem to be elongated in relation to limbs, especially through the midriff. Also, it feels like the waist could be raised a little, more detail could go into the back and the groin could be raised a little.
On the head, the cheek bones seem to need more definition to match the nature of the rest of the face. The fringe seems quite low, although it's hard to tell at such an early stage if that's deliberate or odd positioning.
hey thx freebie! that was all very useful!
so i went up by another subD level and heres what i have now.
any comments or crits would be very appreciated!
Looking good. I sorta feel like her rib area and latissimus dorsi is very "boxy." If you look at the silhouette on the left side of the front image, the space between her nip and her hip bone is almost a straight line.
another update , this time with no polypaint to see more the sculpt. mostly worked on the leg feet and face.
im still now convince about the knees , if anyone have some kin of tricks with thosae that would be awsome!
nice sculpt- I believe the breasts/nipples are angled too far outward and the feet are angled too far inward- got some outfit plans?edit: NVM just saw the link
thanks dan! i fixed that a bit and dont worry the whole pose will be better at the end!
ok another update, reworked a little bit the overall anatomy/hair/underwear
i added the gun case/legstrap badge and started the shirt
at the end i will have a more dinamyc pose thats why pretty much everything is going a little bit to the left.
the shirt still need alot of work but tell me if you feel that some folds doesnt make sense ( or all )
Can you tell me how exactly you did the microdetailing on the bands here. I know some methods that requires the mesh to be UV-ed and then you can tile the alpha. Or did you use drag rectangle manually with an alpha? I've heard some people paint these as displacement at the texturing stage if it is not real time art. Please if you can describe your workflow here, or direct me to a tutorial that discusses this. Thanks!
Really nice so far, looking forward to seeing more! I know shes supposed to be a sexy cop, but shes looking a bit more like a porno cop at the moment. Check out the artwork in Exotique books, the female characters tend to have a beautiful or sexy look without looking too slutty. A good piece to look at is S-Force by Ke Weilin.
I'm with the others, think this might be just a touch too much skin. How bout some short, short jeans, with like lots of artfully placed holes in 'em? Could be a cool exercise to try to get those holes with the white frays covering the hole in the jeans. Would go a long way in making this a legitimate game art piece, a bra would help too. Other than that great work, keep it up.
oh! thanks guys for the comments!
hahah i never had that much comments for 1 post , those panties does have a lot of effect!
ok well my first idea was just to make a female anatomy for my folio and i wanted to add a couple a props just to make it less boring.
so i guess im gonna just add pants and have a nude version also to show the anatomy
so im gonne buton up this shirt and stay tune for some sexy office pants ! haha
@Wawe yes it was like you said with alphas and masking. in that video he does some small details on the handle and its pretty much the same thing as i did http://youtu.be/fc3CARl4Q-c?t=2m32s
@SCB hey SCB! thanks again for the help! its really appreeciated! that S-force is really sick! but i guess ill just go for the '' with pants'' option.
oh and bibendum, itook the model of panties from my girlfriend, and as far as i know shes not a stripper
Did a quick paintover, hope you don't mind. Some of the changes may be a little bit far from what you hope to accomplish, but hopefully it helps to illustrate what I mean.
In the small crop, the red lines are sharp transitions and the blue lines are soft contours.
-For the mouth, it needs to have a clear transition from the face. Right now it blends in a little too much and has soft boundries.
-The tip of the nose seems a little thin. I may have changed it a little too much, but try to find references that match what you have in mind.
-The eyes sit into their sockets a little strangely. I have a suspicion that the eyeballs may be a little too big for the head giving it a flat and wide eyed look.
Hopefully it helps. It's looking really nice by the way, keep it up.
so i have a big unpdate here! this piece is almost finish, i know that theres the haire and the gun texture that needs a little bit more love,
I would like to know what you guys think and if you see any weirdness
good job it reads well !
face came out nicely, some teeny tiny crits wud be : jaw is too high up (mans jaw look), the lacrimal area seems too hollowed out
can u give her some eye shadow n eye liner?..
hey thks mate those were all excelent points! ive made the jaw mor feminin , im not quite sure if it was how you saw it. anaway thanks very apprecieted! also worked on the spec/gloss
im calling this one done! ill probably work abit more on the presentation but i think oits time to work on something else! c$c are welcome!
and turntable comming soon!
Awesome texturing! I probably can't see it properly, but did you add a hair band where her hair is tied up? Also maybe in future models you could add hair planes which could make the hair more dynamic/believable, instead of it being solid.
The trouser & gun texture is looking really weird in that last render compared to the previous, I'm guessing this is a render issue? Apart from that, thats some really nice work, well done!
Extreme moire pants! You're probably going to need to drop the contrast on the stripy pants otherwise you're always going to have problems with that nasty moire shimmer.
thanks guys for the comments! very apprecieted! @nightflarer yeah ill definitly use palnes for hair for my next models i really had alot of trouble trouble trying to make them look decent and still now im not very satisfied. it takes way more Texture space too. and yeah she has a haire band but its is black on daark brown so pretty hard to see @scb thanks mate! can you explain me exactly what is more weird in the last shot for the gun and trouser so i can fix it? thanks! @jackablade yeah i get this problem too when i have the image a certain siz, it pops out, i tried to play with the contrast, blur, colors but it is always there .... no more small stripes for my next charcters thats for sure... thanks for taking time to crit!
This came out really well, great job, the only thing that is weird to me model-wise is the hair line, it seems really far up on the models head I would move it down just a bit. but other than that good work.
oh well i just played a bit more with the blure and contrast and its has waay less moire! ill post that soon with the turntable! @preator thanks mate youre the second one telling me that so iguess ill move it a bit !
@scb thanks mate! can you explain me exactly what is more weird in the last shot for the gun and trouser so i can fix it? thanks!
I was talking about the moire effect that Jackablade also mentioned (didn't know the right word for it!). It seems clean and precise in the 2nd last render, but very noisy in the last. I'm assuming you used different render engines between the two?

i also baked the gun too and started the texture. i had alot of trouple with it!!
