GSC Gamestudios shut down?

According to various sources GSC was shut down this morning, a tweet said it wasn't said tweet was then deleted and no proper answer from GSC has come out yet.

A STALKER 2 concept artist apparently confirms that he has lost his job and posted all his STALKER 2 concept art on krautchan (safer alternate source for images)

I'm not sure of the validity of this, though the STALKER 2 concept art on the above link does look real enough..

If this is true, it's a damned shame in all ways, especially for those who lost their jobs

If any GSC devs hang around here and are allowed to confirm or deny this please say so. Best of luck to all if this is true, if not, hurry up with STALKER 2.

Rghdgfjdfgs, I heard somewhere that the reason were just put as "personal reasons held by the founder of the company" what is that.. why is that possible, sahgasd.

Awwww.... damnit, I LOOOVE the STALKER games, was really looking forward to a new one (which wasn't Metro, wasn't really a big fan of that, even though its kinda same style). Those games was what kept my faith in PC gaming going, showing how games should be.

This is beyond lame! The STALKER series is one of my all time favorites! I would make each new one last as long as possible, and I always tried to play at night. They are such unique, terrifying games.

This is incredibly saddening. The stalker games are immense. True gems. I hope something can come from the ashes of GSC.

Word is starting to filter out that the whole closing down thing was a hoax. There's supposed to be an official statement from GSC on Monday.
