problem with 3dsmax disappearing menu

Hi I have max 2011 and when I click on an object right click to open the menu window on viewport it flashes so fast that I cant see the menu itself and if I move the mouse it flashes like if it was there but actually disappears every line when I move the cursor .... any idea why this happens and how can I fix?

Hey! Does it happen after you restart max or restarting your pc?

this is a common ATI bug, which usually happens when you have a flash applet opened in a browser. you can fix it by fully minimizing the window or simply purchasing an nvidia card.

I get this bug when I have realtime mode on in the UDK. Not sure if this is your problem but you may have something running in the background that causes it. In my case the UDK.

Yup, happens here at work with an Nvidia card as well (GTX280) when I have Unreal open in the background. Keeping Unreal minimised while working in Max will avoid the issue.

This solved the problem for me - UDK had a viewport running in real-time in the background
