In the office we are making a small game project and here is what I came up with for how the artist would like to control the in-game cameras. I'm not native English speaker so I hope you guys can understand the slides. Comments and feedback are more than welcome. I would really like to hear whether this is a good path to follow or not.
Nice analytical thinking. Camera controls depend heavily on the type of game you're creating. There is quite a bit of research out there on camera control for games. A great way to see what's useful in current games is to look at the camera controls in commercial game engines.
I forgot completely that I've post this at some point in the past. Anyway it is irrelevant at the moment since I no longer work on the project this was intended to be utilized.
If someone finds it useful or interesting I would love to hear your comments, could led to a nice discussion.
