Vicarious Visions, developer of numerous award winning games, including Guitar Hero, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 and Skylanders 3DS is seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced Concept Artist. The ideal candidate will have experience in concept drawing and illustrating a diverse visual range of environments, objects, creatures, weapons, architecture and characters. An academic understanding of form, structure, color, and light and a creative imagination is essential. The ideal candidate should also have a good understanding of game art creation (low poly modeling and texturing, environments, and props.)

Requirements:
- Excellent environmental and character concept art skills with an eye for perspective, color, lighting, and atmosphere.
- Be able to create concepts with the understanding of these designs being implemented in a real time game engine, and effectively collaborate and communicate with production artists who will be executing on these visions.
- Ability to rapidly express the vision in both detailed line art break-outs and color imagery.
- An understanding of how multiple design components can relate visually to support a bigger picture.
- Experience working in a wide variety of styles.
- A high level of proficiency with 2D computer paint packages, such as Photoshop or Painter.
- Mindset to be self-driven and accurately provide time estimates and then adhere to them.
- Skill in one or more of the related creation tasks i.e. characters, environments, FX, etc.
Desired Skills and Pluses
- Experience with 3D software such as 3dStudio Max or Z-Brush.
- Solid foundation in traditional art, such as figure drawing, industrial design, landscape painting, and illustration.
