Hey PC
I have a mesh in UDK with a multi-sub obj material on it. The issue I am having is that the edge around the different materials is a small shadow that I dont want. How to i get rid of the shadow?

Is your lightmap UV contiguous at that spot?
Ie that face isn't its own island.

it is always better to avoid putting seams in spots where they will be noticable. Because it's really hard to avoid seams like this.
but here are some things that may help
check the padding on your materials. Or try making the backgrounds lighter around that edge.
Clamp the UVs (turn off tiling) on the alpha image you are using. It's in the bitmap settings in udk.
