Just wanted to say everything about this is awesome. I dont think ive seem bakes that clean. Also excellent idea on using kitbashing to save time. Thank you
this is just ridiculously stunning. So much detail and the textures/ lighting is perfect. Well done sir! I salute!
The unwrap must've taken forever...so many pieces. Btw when you were rendering out the highpoly. Which program and what kind of material. I want to get the same look. Good for preview stuff shots
This looks like quite a beast to have taken on and you pulled it off, especially on that bake. Also, I'm always a sucker for some insane UVing and you definitely fit that category with this piece.
Thanks for sharing and can't wait to see what you build next!

For the high poly renders, I used Mental Ray in Max, with Arch and Design materials. I rendered some glossy plasticy shots with some AO and Zdepth, and then did a lot of compositing in Photoshop.

Thanks a bunch man, I appreciate it. A some of the artists here were marveling at your packing abilities, I've got nowhere near the patience to take it as far as you did on your copter.
Alright, I think I'm calling it done for good, I've got to move on to start something else or I'll go crazy, I've been working on this for too long. I took another pass on the lighting, and got a final set of beauty shots for the 'folio.
Fantastic work man. I am utterly impressed by your attention to detail and dedication to quality. Your shader choice on the cockpit solved the focal point issue.
Not sure if you toned the values down more since the last time you showed me the flats but it's reading so much better now!
