Eidos-Montreal is currently seeking a Concept Artist to join its AAA development team in Montreal.
Title: Concept Artist
Reports to: Art Director
Fonctions:
To produce high quality artwork suitable for the game, in a specific timeframe and within an artistic set style;
Translate visual development and ideation into polished production-ready work;
Maintain a standard of art by providing a wide variety of different and viable solutions.
Experience and qualifications:
Diploma in fine arts or 2D or equivalent
Linked background and desire to work on environmental concepts
5+ year of industry experience in Concept Artist.
Technical Abilities:
Familiarity or experience with 3D programs and 2D art applications
A versatile and exceptional 2D art application
Strong painting skills in traditional and/or digital illustrations and use of color
Versatility to work everything from environments to characters, and in any genre
Demonstration of a concepts evolution from rough ideation to a final tight drawing or blueprint
Good ability to create a large volume of quality concept art within tight deadlines throughout the project's development is required
Interpersonnal Qualities
Ability to be receptive to art direction and to perform well within a collaborative team environment
Self motivated and demonstrate initiative; compatible within an environment requiring minimal direct supervision
The ability to adapt your art to our unique style and vision
Strong sense of responsibility
Thrives on achieving superior results
Ability to cleary communicate ideas
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Ability to give and receive constructive critique is required
