Hi All! I think i will model something like this. Streetball guy. Maybe with the mask on his face. With a very dangerous ball, which has some surprises inside). I think this contest must be fun)
Great concept so far. Nice choice of colors. I don't know what you have for reference, but perhaps the head could be a larger proportion. Perhaps a different hair style. Something that adds more character to the face. Good luck!

Concept is killer man. It might be cool, as a mutie, if he had like a flesh mask or something? kinda leatherface/Jeepers Creepers style I guess. Actually yeah, he should totally be wearing Justin Longs face.

I think knowing that somewhere ou there Justin Long was stumbling around without a face would be hilarious...
But yeah I know what you mean. I guess that freaky monster in your ref was a little misleading. I think it might work better if the whole body was blue though, instead of the flesh coloured torso. It doesn't need to spotted all over, but it looks a little like he's had the frankenstein treatment.
Rough sculpt from default sphere in Sculptris. I think this is the best way to prototyping the model at early stage. Dynamesh is cool, but it loses Dynamic tesellation. I hope to see the same feature in the next Zbrush)
This is the base 512 textures and all the meshes together is about 2700 tris... I hope i will be able to finish this. But this f..kin flu makes me crazy(((
