i really like the detailed narrow focus of this and can be made into a level, for something like horde mode really easily. although you should develop the surrounding area as well then
Thanks Dinh! I think I´m gonna do a more elaborate exploration of that urban rebel-theme actually. Here´s a quick sketch before bed time, a lonely oilrig on a far distant planet:
I like the stuff in this latest post! The rocks especially look pretty solid, although personally i'd love to see more jagged, sculpted forms, if you think you can pull them off.
As for the concepts, everything is pretty interesting, but the characters and guns and vehicles are generally let down by what looks like a lack of understanding of their anatomy. I don't see any studies in here, and i think you would benefit from doing a lot more (as would we all). The guns and orcs in the post before last especially, nothing, the orcs/armor/weapons, seems to be put together in a realistically informed away -- cool ideas, but let down by execution... It's hard to design a mean looking character without understanding the subtleties of their anatomy, and it's hard to design a mean looking gun without understanding all the moving parts and how they fit together.
I may just be projecting, though, i've been slacking on studies myself.
I admit I´m very bad at doing studies nowadays, or at least try and take the time to make them proper. Anatomy was quite a while since I studied, mostly I try drawing environments and scenes atm. But yeah, that´s no excuse either, I´ll get into more anatomy and post my wips here in time!
i really like your environments and how much you paint with color! this is something i need to do more but be careful what you choose to study.
Apart from some lighting the anatomy of the woman is really hard to pick out due to the her clothing and makes her shape seem very straight down with no hip information or ribcage.
Make sure the information your getting from your studies is really useful.
Good work though and i really admire your progress, pushing characters in environments is very hard but will honestly pay off getting a character to fit in an environment is a hard task and the sooner you start the better!

Here is a quick 15-20 min speedpaint:
C&C welcome!

Here is a Mayan inspired scene:
And did a quick landscape too:
So here is my latest work, including some studies. Felt good doing those again

I really understand what you meant about the woman on the study drawing, and I´ve been practicing to get better at that.
So here are my latest environments and some anatomy studies, along with a quick portrait of my girlfriend!
