old camera (WIP)

I am still working on the specular map, this is a UDK mesh editor screen print. Oh I haven't done the glass lense bit... have no idea how to achieve that effects. :poly122:
The poly is a bit high, just over 2700. Do I really need to reduce it, or it would be OK? All maps are 1k.
All critics welcomed, also needed some suggestion in terms of presentation. Cheers

    Hey man can we see some reference, wires, texture maps, UV layouts. All the fun stuff. Just to get a better idea of the thing as an entire piece.

    I think people tend to get caught up in tri count a little too much. I think it is good to show that you know how to wisely use your tri count... but at the point someone is telling you to turn something you are doing for art/portfolio into a pile of 400 tris because it would never be viewed that close in game... eh.

    It is not for a game.

    Is it game art or is it a game asset?

    If it is game art, use as many tris as you want to make it look good. If it is a game asset that thing better be following the limitations of whatever the situation in game. Lots of things play into that. First person, 3rd person, ect.
