Arena Map

Hi Guys,

Thought id ask for help rather than just keep searching the internet and getting no where. I'm still learning so no laughing please

I'm building an arena for a 3rd person type game shall we say. I want the floor to be covered in snow, and this is one of the many problems i face. i want to keep it fairly lowpoly, lets say for an iphone game.

I've created a plane, and tiled snow across is, ive moved some verts around as you can see from the pics.

but i just dont like it, what can i do to break to all up may it look more realistic? or critism and suggestions on the char an arena its self totally welcome.

Maybe use what you've already made for a garden maze of sorts? Some columns or those arches around the border? Depends on gameplay and setting.

Yeah thought about a couple columns n rocks, any suggestions on the ground?

Will post some up of colomns soon. Was thinking, do people add in extra geo for snow on top of objects or add it into texture?

Oh supposed to add, it's like a snowball type 3rd person gameplay. So walls colomns are to make them move round and not just direct. Also for cover.
