Hey everyone, so i wanted to work on my textures and all that jazz but i need to get my modeling mastered first. i have a couple of questions concerning. Tri's and (i dont know how to word this) but how the uv's are set up? or diff style of uv's? i have picture examples. picture 2 is a barrel and the uv's are all right next to each other, in square shapes. Then theres pic 3 that the uv's are just laid out in a square in empty space. I think that blizzard uses the (barrels) pic 2s "uv set up". my question is how do you do the uv's, texturing, cubical, blizzlike as shown? sorry if i made that more complicated then it needed to be.. the question about tri's is do you guys think that 2348 tri's for the full mesh is acceptable? also i have never made chains before and in one chain link (loop) its 72 tri's. and to me i think that is alot more then it should be. thanks for all your help!

I probably would've added some wood beam around the entrance too (get it? ;P ) Just keep at it and it'll look great
so im guessing there is no special "blizz like" uv method, it just depends how well you can set up your uv's to best fill the space
