Hey! This is my first time posting on here. I'm working on a robot for a college class. My Idea would be to have an adorable robot with lots of fire power. Here are some shots of the High Poly Model. I'll keep posting in here as I go. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to take them!
Hey guys! OK I'll post a wireframe in a bit, After I add a bit more to it. For now I am having a strange problem.
For some reason a lot of the edges are not showing up in my view port.
However, when I click the edge select tool they all come back. D
oes anyone know why this is happening/how to fix it? I've included a picture to illustrate what I mean.
Thanks A lot

You can go lower .. much lower. Have faith in your textures maps to sell the shape
Missing edges? It could be intersections from the polys on the back? Toggle Backface Cull, or remove the polys on the back? Turn off double sided shader?
It turns out the missing edges was because my video card was dying. Last night my computer went into sleep mode and didn't wake up. I tried slapping it and splashing water on it's face, but it never turned back on. I mannaged to get the Polycount down to 6,800 Polys
I've got a feeling you've got a lot of internal faces that can be trimmed out as wll as anything that doesn't break silhouette can probably be cut out.
edit: just saw you figured out why the edges were missing but in most cases you can just -
Delete the faces that have missing edges and just bridge them back after you've cleaned up the area. Faster than trouble shooting.
So I got my low Poly down to 3537 polys. I haven't done much in the past few days because my motherboard broke and I had to get a new computer. Does it need to go any lower? I'm frightened I'm taking away too much
