Hey all!
I think it's about darn time I started my own sketchbook on here and became more a part of this wonderful community. Please, if anybody has any input about anything I post up here don't hold back. I love criticism, the more input we give each other the more we can learn!
Anyway, to kick this off I've got a quick character I sculpted in about an hour. I'm finding these quick sculpts to be very beneficial. I'll be posting more involved work soon so keep an eye out.

Welcome to the forums also ! thanks for the encouragement before also
Thunder I completely agree. I almost want his legs to be even smaller and I think the knees are making them look too big. hmmm, not sure. What do you think?
Also, here are some gestures I did in photoshop. This is the time to be mean, haha! I really need to master anatomy, and there's a few things I seem to mess up every time. Lets see if you guys can't spot them.
This is the basemesh I made using ZSpheres. I'm leaving the upper body exposed so I'll be retopping half of it for better muscle definition.
Thanks Assassin! I'm glad you like it.
great character and good to see a finished off peice, more pl0x. specialy human stuffs =D
allmighty_thunder: Definitely! There's a few elements (the rope around his waist in particular) that I was thinking I could even merge to the main mesh. There are a lot of edge loops I can get rid of too. The tricky part is just going to be working around the UVs.
Thank you so much for your feedback!
going for the slightly chibi style of final fantasy tactics. I really love the weight they put on specific pieces of clothing and the weapons to give their characters toon-like proportions.
I'm still not 100% sure if I like the current straps I've got in there. I might want to add more, or at least rearrange them possibly.
Comments and critiques are definitely appreciated.
I'm trying to work out what her sword will look like next. I wanted to do something that ties in a musical theme to the character.
