lightmap issues

hi guys,
little help/advice needed. created uvs as below. and it gives a bad lightmap.
its just a block wall as below. box with all corners chamfered.
how would you guys go about lightmapping this?

Hey guys,
Don.,t Mind look at any link for lightmaps. I really thought I got the principle and how they worked, but this brick wall is annoying me.
I know if I did a really low poly then I could do it all in one. But my bricks are separate.
Any advice pls.

What does your actual light map look like?
Your viewport isn't using flat shading, so I'm thinking that maybe the darkened corners are a result of smooth groups?

Yea you haven't actually shown us any evidence of lightmap issues. The general rule for laying out uv's for lightmaps is to have as few islands as reasonably possible, and to include enough padding.

im starting to think it may be a udk issue, i cant test the in game editor as my lappy crashes. but this is what it looks like on ipad.
