Wanted to recreate this guy for a long time. A chance to vent some frustration over the direction of the new XCOM remake too.

Looking for any tips/ideas/suggestions before I start blocking in the 3D!

Fantastic! I would ditch the big X on the belt. Between the hair and face mask, he's starting to look a little like Gambit from X-Men, so the big X on the belt doesn't help

Agree with Slum,about ditching the x from his belt otherwise cool concept looking forward to see this develops,i'm fan of old X-com too

XCOM is an Alternate Reality XMEN Slum. haha

Also usually you don't see a symbol of any kind unless its a patch/badge on a support/tactical/special force unit. Why? You don't go in saying "Hey, its the army! We are going to kick your ass". The uniform is suppose to provide function and practicality and slapping a logo on it (again unless its a patch or badge) it just seems tacky.
