So far, I've been told that he look a little off-balance, so I tried moving the feet back.
As for the plumage, most of is going to consist of flats and a lot of cloning, although to be honest i've never worked a whole lot with hair or feathers before, so this should be interesting...

The belt and bandana don't look like they're wrapped tightly around the forms: specifically the droop in the front of the bandana and the way the belt bends around the feathers, rather than the feathers being tucked into the belt.
Also, the green feathers don't really look like feathers - more like scales. They're shaded dark in between, they're uniform, and they bulge out in the centre.

Still working on the shades and the feathers in some places along with the bandana. Might add a few more wrinkles to the vest too.
After that, decimation... then lots of feather instancing...
