We are looking for a few 3d artists who would be willing to work on a Game project. ( Tired and old story I know ). We have coded the base of the game and will be adding in the models and animations within the next few months. For this, we need people who can model.
I myself, am a texture artist so texturing would not be needed unless you felt the need to do so. This game is being created with XNA and will have a Mincraft/Diablo/Dragon Age feel. The idea of the game is to allow the players to mess with the terrain of the world ( minecraft ) but allow them the RPG Elements associated with well known titles such as Dragon Age.
The game will be free for the time being since we simply want a way to "pad" our portfolios, but with time and enough attention it could be released for an agreed monetary value once discussed. ( really the aim is to expand our skills and to further grow as a team )
I am an artist by trade, I can do 3d work, textures, concept art, website design, and a few other odds and ends. Sadly, I cant design a game and make one at the same time while having a job in the USN. It is for this reason that I am searching for the following:
- Environmental Artist
- Character Artist
- Concept Design Artist ( really not needed but i would not cry if somebody wanted to help )
Games Current Progress:
- Core systems in place
- Dynamic Lighting
- Dynamic Shadows
- Gravity ( in relation to the player and the world )
- Destruction of objects
- Adding of objects
- Particles
- LUA and XML based UI System ( fully customizable by the player )
- Auto updating Launcher ( downloads most recent version of the game as well )
