quick udk noob question about displacement

i made some boulder assets in max and used displacement maps, it looks really cool in max, but when i import to udk it looks like shit. I was hooking up my displacement map to the 'world displacement' node, is this the wrong node? is there some multiplier or something i can use to make it look stronger? Basically the boulder looks smooth in UDK where it looks jagged and displaced in max
