Hello all! I was curious if anyone knew of any good tutorials that involve texturing realistic cloth pieces. I'm looking to get results similar to the robe on the Dragon Age Templars. I don't have a ton of experience with cloth, and I've been having a bit of difficulty finding a tutorial that covers the whole process to get good results. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would seriously love you forever :D

It not that hard. You just got to study how light affects surfaces and why folds do what they do.

I suggest taking a towel(for thick fabrics) or bed sheets(for thin fabrics) and poisition it somewhere how you want it to be like. Study it (aka copy it>paint using it as a reference).

You could use attach the sheets or towel to your self as well. Attach bed sheets to your belt or something and study it in the mirror. Or let someone else take a photo for you.

Really texturing is about understanding how materials work and how light interacts with surfaces.
