I started working on the high poly model of this.I plan to make a low poly version.I'll probably need help figuring that out. This is my progress thus far. It's about 4-5 objects in total right now.
pretty good start so far, only a couple critiques. The indented area near the top/rear of the grip looks a little strange, like it is inset too much on your model compared to the photo. Also, for the little ridges on the grip, you will probably need to bevel them a bit at the top so they get picked up in the normal bake. Right now it looks like you just have them extruded straight out and the details will probably get missed during the bake.
Other than that, just keep at it, looking forward to seeing the finished product.

" The indented area near the top/rear of the grip looks a little strange, like it is inset too much on your model compared to the photo."-I actually did that on purpose cause i thought it would show a little better.I'll see what it looks like when I pull it back out.
As far as the detail on the grip, I figured that might be the case.I wanted to keep the hard edges on it but i figured my control edges would be to close and cause pinching if i beveled it.I'll try it though.

I couldn't upload the recent images due to computer issues. But the link is the lp base and the beginnings of the texture on the uvs.
Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.-thanks
