I'm currently creating a high poly model for a re imagining of the character Samus for university and I'm having some problems with my supporting loops.
I want the red line to be a hard edge and the green parts to be smooth. The problem I'm having is that as there is no continuous loop around the 'pod' on the side of the helmet I cannot simply add extra edge loops to support it.
Any advice would be really appreciated.

I'm no pro. I'm sure one of the experts might give you a better edge flow paint over.
