Here are some screens on an Escape Pod I worked on today for portfolio use.. so far only the HP has been done. Wanted to post here before I start the LP.. kinda feel like the model could use some smaller details.. lemme know what u guys think.
Reference ( more of a general guideline, Not trying to replicate it )
Lol, so atm my plan is to make the holes on both ends a glass material.. and a window on the sides.. with some sort of florescent lights on the inside like in the reference.
I'd like to see you make the pod more person-friendly and comfortable. The reference looks cool and all, but in the end it looks more like a sci-fi tanning bed :P Just to name a few improvements: Comfortable seat, Anabiosis machine, some data source with a monitor for input/control and lastly some kind of propulsion system would be nice (jets/engines)... Keep going :P
Sweet, really appreciate the input ill be adding quite abit to this soon. Not 100% sure what an anabiosis machine is tbh.. google came up pretty empty.
Anabiosis - A state of suspended animation (not dead, nor alive). This was adopted by sci fi as a way to endure long journeys; the condition slows down the person's metabolism (and in sci fi literature prolongs life just enough to travel through space without dying of old age).
First time I've seen one of my models used at reference. Awesome!
Soften up the edges like Alberto Rdrgz said and take a look at your topology. There seems to be some smoothing errors and unintentional hard edges near the front of the model, just behind the front "entrance".
Will do Disting, I've seen some of your posts on NextGenHardSurface but wasn't aware you modeled my reference. Really awsome btw.
I'll have some new updates soon.. been playing BF3 and got an urge to model one of my favourite sniper rifles (M24) So just knocking that model out real quick before finishing this up.
