Hi, hopefully theres a quick question for this, basically I'm currently creating new topology over a high res mocdel in zbrush 4, only problem is the model seems to be transparent in some way as the new topology I am creating over the top of the high res model is being seen from both sides which is making the entire process very difficult! Anyone know how i can turn this transparency off? Thanks!

Image below shows the actual mesh to the left and to the right is the view I'm working with which shows the wireframe from both sides, which will make finishing this model a real pain. Any help is appreciated :)

Is that Z4R2? The default behavior for me has the back-facing edges gray and the front-facing ones orange, instead of all orange like that. I don't think it is the result of a custom UI either : /

What steps do you take to begin editing the topology?

i think you have to append a zsphere to it or something, do a google and I am sure you can find the tut, but it does work and gets rid of your back facing polys

    EDIT copied and pasted

    BACKFACE CULLING PROBLEM

Select the tool you want to retopo
    tool>subtool>append>zSphere
    Select the append zSphere
    tool>topology>edit topology

You have to hide the high poly mesh in order to preview the adaptive skin though.

(I know how it's done, I'm wondering what particular steps he is taking as his result is different than my own).

In my case I don't append anything. Just select a solo zsphere, then Rigging: Select Mesh followed by Topology: Edit
