Hey there.
Though I'd start a thread for my current project that I'm doing for Uni. I basically have to model a mechanical or electronic artefact.
For this I've chosen to do a PumpJack which I'd like to share my progress.
Here's the Balance that I've finally finished.
Had a tough time trying to figure out how to make the holes, ended up using ProBoolean for the first time. Pretty useful!
Here I'm just showing all the parts I plan to model. Once these are done I'll start with the main structure.
Top - Bottom:
1: Centre Bearings
2:Tail Bearing
3:Crank
4:Gear Box
5:Brake Handle
6:Balance
Nice modelling. Are there any restrictions regarding the polycount or texturesize?
Thanks,
For the assignment we're suppose to be making a high detailed mesh, and there is no limitation to polycount. And texturing is not required, although I might texture it later on as a portfolio piece.
It's not far from the deadline and I've just finished my Gear Box. Would have liked it if most of the mesh was one. But I didn't have enough time for that.
Just did a quick show of my model. I don't know much about texturing, hopefully will find some help on it. But I'll leave that for later
