Hi everyone!
I've just started work on my final year project for my Games Design course.
I'm working on a log cabin that can fit two scenarios. The first is a snow environment, the cabin would look like a fishing post on a frozen lake. The second is a beach hut, a desert island retreat. There will be trees on each, firn and palm tress respectively
The model would mostly be the same, however I would need to change the textures on certain parts of the model (Getting rid of snow for example)
I've blocked out the model below and will be updating it as regularly as possible. (Probably Wednesday evenings with my schedualling)
Any feedback would be appreciated.

But good luck!
Ou and wirez!
I'll be putting it in UDK later in the year. The idea is that the player will start at the end of the jetty on the frozen lake, go into the hut, sit in/on a bed then leave and it will be the desert island outside.
In terms of assets in the scene I will have a bed, bookcase, table and chair, as well as a fishing rod and surf board. I will have a few small boxes and a lobster pot somewhere around the jetty also.
The scale will be quite small, the player will not be allowed to leave the island whilst 'playing it' In terms of actual gameplay I won't be putting it into a game during the year I imagine.
Update on the log cabin.
What do people think of the shape?

Because right now, it doesn't make sense. Also, maybe show a perspective shot instead of an orthographic one? That confuses me, somewhat.
But yes, just keep going. But remember: Reference.
I'm liking the idea, by the way! Should be a diverse project.
The Roof extends out in several directions, as the image below shows.
I also moved some of the logs to show how they will interlock. It'll need some adjusting still obviously.
Thank you both
