Max2012 Freezing Issue

Hi Polycounters, im having a really ankward issue with my installation of Max 2012. It seems the application is freezing at random for about 2-3 seconds, i dont really do anything that special.

I have my files on a separate harddrive (D:) but it seems to do the same thing with files on my C drive aswell.

I have installed Windows 7 (64bit) on my workstation, along with Xoulios Shader 2 and TexTools (if this even matters)

I would love to check with you before i contact the admin about this, dont wanna give him worries.

Is it freezing only when you close the UV editor? That was a pretty big bug in the shipped version but was worked out in hot fixes and service packs.

All the time, not when i preform a certain operation....thats the worst part.

Maybe it's nitrous, try reverting to d3d.

Well with Xoulios shader it dosnt work with Nitrus so....i can check...maybe i need to go back to Nitrus.....beacuse if i can recall it worked fine back then.

I exactly had the same issue with 2010, I had to reinstall it, along with directX, .NET and my graphic card drivers to get it work... I suspect that something went wrong during the installation and the verifications of the dependencies.

If you are working with a file larger than a few megs, the autoback could be causing the hitch.
They disabling it for a while to see if that helps.

Thx for your help guys, ill take a look tomorrow. If i have to reinstall it, it would take some time >_> with the lisence and all. hope its not that.

Ok, i fixed it. First i ran a windows update and updated my graphics drivers. Then i Uninstalled Xoulios Shader 2 and switched back to Nitrus. that fixed it, thx for your support.
