Hey guys, I'm currently in the process of creating an environment in maya for uni. Only problem is, is that i'm a native max user and I'm really struggling to get to grips with maya. My problem, is that i've tried unwrapping quite a simple object and the uvs are layed out pretty nice and square in the texture editor but on the model itself the texture is all whacked out in places like in the image.
Also, when I scale or affect the uvs in the editor, these changes arent reflected on the textured model at all, so there's a whole lot of guesswork going on
I've tried starting again with the object but its no use, similar things have happened when trying to unwrap other objects as well.
How can I sort this out? Can anybody help?
Ta.

How do you attach an image that isnt online??
Are you unwrapping the UVs in a new UV set by accident by any chance?
Hey, cheers for getting back. Here's the pic.
...erm yeah, I just tried altering the UV set. That appears to be the problem, it really confused, me lol.
Thanks so much for your help guys, you saved my ass.
This tends to happen if you zoom in real close or have long strips like that.
