Problem in Mudbox.

I'm getting an error that says, "failed to load textures both etc." It does load the textures: the model is fully textured and editable -- everything appears as it should. But once I trigger this error by using the clone brush or something, saving the texture becomes impossible. Mudbox will crash and the progress won't be saved.

I also get an error on booting Mudbox. It says it's not designed to run on Windows. I've been getting that one for a while. I've tried deleting the settings folder and I've installed the Mudbox patch. What can I do to fix this annoying shit?

are there some uvs outside the 0-1 space... or close to the border..?
mudbox is able to read uv_tiles for those uvs... but if your textures not named correctly it cant find the tiles...

the second error massage is really strange...

It shouldn't be a naming issue, because it creates the textures as I paint them and names them according to the layers; unless I merge them, which I guess could cause an issue, but I wouldn't expect that feature to be so problematic.

if you post error messages quote the whole message to the letter. you may leave out something that means something important.

your second error message sounds to short. i would guess you are running on an older version of windows? maybe your running a 32 bit version of mudbox on a 64bit os.

the first message, i have no idea. when i get an error message that crashes the file. i stop and rebuild the scene from scratch. in your case export all your textures. export obj's of your model on highest and lowest subdiv level write down your settings for shaders etc. import your lowres geo into a new scene. apply your highres geo as a layer. open your textures in photoshop and save them out to make sure they are not corrupt in any way. then import into you new scene.

could be a bug, could be something you did. generally you will never figure it out.
if it keeps happening send crash reports to autodesk. :poly127:

Thankfully, I'm almost done with this project and don't foresee any need to use the tools that corrupt it. Will just endure it for now. Thanks, guys.
