Hello guys. Working on a huge project with a couple of friends. This will be the place where artwork and references will be posted so that we can discuss and work toward centering our vision. Please feel free to comment and contribute. Critique and suggestions are welcome!

You should probably have some art to show before creating a thread, and the title "Style Guide" is extremely generic and doesn't really say anything.

It's a good idea to have a thread for the project, though. I'll check it out when you get some stuff posted.

oh wow. Pardon the long wait. I didn't know this would become such a thread without art lol.

Here's another quick sketch. This is how we should consider the differences between hard surface and the organic elements in our project. The organic elements should be leaning toward a painted look. Notice the lack of lineart, and the emphasis on shape and silhouette. With working on hard surface however, we should be deliberate with our outlines. Try approaching it as though you're drawing up a blueprint. Then feel free to paint on detail, such as erosion, and even things like specularity.
