Steam Powered Dwarf

So this is a personal project to up my character art skillz.
Its s dwarf in steam powered armor. The crest coming off the top of the helmet is still bugging me for some reason, but im not completely sure how to approach it. Any advice, comments, crits are most certainly welcome and encouraged. Im still debating also giving him a steam gun kept on his back under the boiler tank. But i think for now ill just start unwrapping and start hand painting some textures.
The hexes all over are going to be various pressure gauges and readings.
I based the over all design off of these miniature from an awesome table top game that unfortunately no longer exists
Some of the best fantasy designs i have ever seen have come from this game, and it has greatly influenced my personal work over all.

It is looking pretty cool, the refs are cool too.
Other than that, pretty cool character! Yeah the crest kinda looks like a dildo, maybe change it to a spike? or if he's steampunk, some kind of tool/part... Are you going to make an HP model and do a bake?
And I dont plan on doing a HP bake, im going going to hand paint the textures and go more for a dark-cartoony look like the actual miniatures its based off of. Lvl up my painting skeelz.

But seriously, could you resize those images in the first post? They're not just massive, they've actually been scaled up in an image editor! They're in your dropbox, so just resize and save 'em. This shit kills my browser.
