Hello Polycount
this was done for the private project of a friend. He wanted to have a picture of one of his god creatures. A very god practise for me :)
It's supposed to be the god of earth and pathways Malath that shows himself has a dark anubis jackal like appearance.

I worked with photoshop and Wacom Intuos

    Not bad :), I know the rocks are not the main thing, but i would work more on them, and I would also define more the foot since its on the front of the scene.

    Hey, pretty cool painting! Your main issue right now is anatomy. I'm not a character artist (ditched for enviro :P), but I picked off some things, including wrong perspectives on limbs...

    I'm sure others will pick up a lot more then I did. The arm that holds the keys was really a problem. Also the right leg looks painful to me :P If you shape the muscles and bony landmarks, things should be better. Another issue is shading; all your shadows and highlights are really muddy. The need to be smooth and crisp. Good luck!
