Mudbox 2012 and Radeon HD 5450

I’m a newbie… starting my first course of Maya and Mudbox.

Will the HD Radeon 5450 will work with Mudbox 2012?.. or can you recommend me any other reasonably priced card that will do the work?

Keep in mind that it’s only for begginers modelling and learning purposes. Nothing really fancy… yet.

It should work, but i would recommend using an Nvidia one, because most of the time they are more compatible.

Thanks. Mainly I'm going for Radeon 5450 because of my budget (my friend is selling me a new one fairly cheap). But I'll keep your recommendation in mind. Thnx!

I´m just recommending an nvidia card because many people have problems with ATI ones with different programs, i´m lucky so far, but i guess..yeah just luck

I just replaced my Radeon HD 4670 with an nvidia because of problems with maya. I couldn't perform simple tasks like vert snapping without super lag. I learned my lesson... stay away from ati. They can be good cards, just not for game art.
