Marmoset Toolbag and Blender

Hello folks. I have an issue with Marmoset Toolbag (Greatest tool ever created ever) and Blender. I have a rifle model that is built in two parts, the main gun itself, and the magazine. When I try to import the .obj for this model into MT, it always imports it as a single object with one material. In the OBJ export settings, I can split up the model as "OBJ Objects", "OBJ Groups", or "Group by Material." Each part has it's own material, and I've tried all three options, but it always imports as a single object.

I'm using the latest version of MT and Blender 2.59(stable). Any ideas?

    hi

my first wild guess is exporting them separate and then import them separate into mt?
But what i know for sure u wont have luck with the export options of blender with this...they are just not supported, as far as i know, by mt.

    cheers

Thanks for the reply. Does Marmoset toolbag allow multiple .OBJ files to be imported at once? I thought that wasn't the case?

If all you want is to give a different material to your magazine and another one for the main gun, go to your "Mat" tab, to the right you will see "Chunks" and "Materials". The chunks are the different elements of your obj so there should be your gun and your magazine listed separately. To have a different texture for your magazine, you just need to create a new material and then assign it to that specific "chunk" which in this case would be your magazine. (Assign mat button is right below the chunks sub panel)

I tried looking in the Chunks section, but it just shows the default 'Mesh'. It doesn't show the magazine as a separate chunk.

EDIT: Ah I'm so happy! I fixed the issue by using Blender's FBX export instead, and now the chunks show up properly so I can assign unique mats. Thanks!
