Hey guys. I am currently in the works for a new computer. My little labtop is having trouble keeping up with Zbrush, Max, and UDK. What I would like to do is either build or buy my own desktop computer. I am still on the fence on what I would like to do.

I have done some searching here and this is what I have came up with due to a recent post.

CPU: Intel i7 2600k
MotherBoard: Asus P8Z68-V Pro
Ram: 2x 4GB G.Skill Ripjaws
VideoCard: EVGA GTX 570
HDD: 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black

What I wanted to know is other then the case, what else would I need to buy if I wanted to attempt to build my own desktop.

I got the Monitor and Microsoft OS so no need to mention those things hah.

Is this spec even worth building or can I buy it pre made for about the same price.

I am also considering of just buying one from Newegg with the specs I want. Here is one I am considering

power supply, atleast 750 watt especially if you plan on running sli. also, youll want to include a cd-rom drive. i got my asus for just around 20 bucks, you can find it here:

i would option against going with a prebuilt pc for a couple reasons. one, its cheaper build your own piece by piece and two you'll be able to put exactly what you want in it, and not settle for any shitty parts they used to cut corners on price

you have a similar setup to what i have running now, its definitely a nice machine
